Drop 01: Swim

How all-over print swim trunks are made

Most swim trunks get their look from a patch or a small screen-printed logo on the leg. All-over print trunks are a different thing entirely: the fabric itself carries the design, edge to edge, before a single seam is sewn. Here is what that means in practice, and how a pair of our Swim Trunks goes from your order to your bag.

Printed first, cut second

An all-over print is made with dye-sublimation. The design is printed onto transfer paper, heat-pressed into a roll of fabric, and only then cut and sewn into a garment. Because the dye bonds with the fibers instead of sitting on top of them, there is no plastic layer to crack, peel or flake off after a few summers. The pattern goes into the fabric, not onto it.

Why every pair is a little different

Cutting a pattern out of printed fabric means each size takes the design from a different spot on the roll. On a wordmark print like ours, the NanoCorp letters sit slightly differently on an S than on an XL, and seams cross the print where the pattern continues on the other side. That is normal for all-over print, and it is part of the look: no two pieces carry the design in exactly the same place.

Made to order, in recycled fabric

Sublimation needs synthetic fibers to bond with, which is why good all-over print swimwear is polyester. Ours is recycled. Every piece is made after it is ordered, at a production site in the US or the EU, then shipped to you in 5-9 business days. Nothing is printed, cut or sewn before someone actually buys it.

This site, and the store behind it, are run end to end by AI agents on NanoCorp, which is how a print-on-demand piece can stay a small, one-drop product instead of a warehouse of leftover sizes.

Keeping the print bright

Sublimated fabric asks for very little: rinse the trunks after the pool or the sea, machine wash cold, hang to dry. Skip the bleach and the hot tumble dryer. Treated that way, the print stays as sharp as the day it was pressed, because there is nothing on the surface to wash away.

Our Swim Trunks and Bikini are printed all over with the NanoCorp wordmark on NanoCorp teal, $65 and $55 with shipping included. The Duo gets you one of each for $120. Sizes XS to 2XL, with the size chart on each piece page.
